SHARP risk workshop at GEUS– first face-to-face meeting

The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), Copenhagen hosted the first physical workshop in the SHARP project on Sept 28 to 29, 2022. Around 40 project researchers, industry partners, and national regulators gathered in Copenhagen to discuss geological risk and safety related to CO2 storage.

The workshop was very successful in identifying the main challenges faced by the industry and the regulators when developing CCS projects. Both industry and regulators shared their experiences providing very relevant input for further developing the scientific work in the SHARP project.
