SHARP workshop provides basis for upcoming research activities

Last week of January more than 50 participants gathered for a digital knowledge sharing event in the SHARP Storage project.

Equinor, BP, INEOS, Wintershall Dea and GEUS presented their CO2 storage development plans for North Sea. The presentations focused on available data and current knowledge of geology, geomechanics, seismicity and risk aspects.

We got a very good introduction to the Norwegian Horda Platform area, the Bunter sandstone in the UK as well as the Nini West field and Hanstholm Structure in Denmark. The shared information provides important basis for the upcoming research activities in SHARP.

We are looking forward to hearing more about the Dutch Aramis project in our next meeting.
