First announcement of SHARP risk workshop – save the dates

Published 05.05.2022 , last updated 15.08.2023

Wednesday Sept 28 to Thursday Sept 29, 2022, the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), Copenhagen will host a SHARP-project workshop on geological risks and safety related to CCS.

The purpose of the workshop is to:

  • establish a common understanding of geological risks in CCS between the scientific community, industry, and national regulators,
  • actively engage stakeholders to ensure that the work carried out in SHARP is relevant and can be applied afterwards,
  • identify main challenges from both industry and regulators perspectives.
We will share our risking and mitigation experiences and work on aligning our expectations to the outcome of the project.

The program will include keynote lectures from both industry and academia, debates, and plenty of opportunity for everyone to contribute and interact. The workshop is open to SHARP partner institutions and companies as well as national regulators and funding agencies.

More information will follow.
